Objectives Upon completion of this conference the resident/student should have an understanding of amblyopia and should be able to:

    • Strabismic Amblyopia
    • Anisometropic Amlyopia
    • Ametropic Amblyopia
    • Deprivation Amblyopia
  • Describe the diagnostic techniques for Amblyopia including
    • History and Characteristics of the Presenting Complaint
    • Assessment of Near and Distance Visual Acuity
  • Describe the indication, techniques and complications for treatments for amblyopia including
    • Cataract Removal
    • Refractive Correction
    • Occlusion and Optical Degradation
