Objectives

  • To recognize the common infectious and inflammatory disorders of the anterior segment in pediatric population.
  • To become familiar with the congenital anomalies affecting the cornea and anterior segment of children.
  • To develop a logical treatment plan for pediatric patients with anterior segment disease.

Reading Assignment: Please read Chapter 17 Infectious and Allergic Ocular Disease and Chapter 19 Diseases of the Cornea and Anterior Segment in the Pediatric  Ophthalmology and Strabismus section of the BCSC.
