The EyePathologist is a web-based, instructional environment on the anatomy and pathology of the eye designed to emulate one-to-one interaction with an expert eye pathologist. It is designed for use by a wide range of health professionals from first-year medical students to ophthalmic pathologists as a teaching and reference tool. A database of more than 4,500 diseases that affect vision and the eye as well as other tissues, lavishly illustrated with over 4,000 high quality images, includes dynamic links to a glossary of over 6,000 linked definitions.

This website is a free, electronic atlas of eye disorders designed to help Ophthalmologists and Optometrists-in-training learn to identify eye diseases through pattern recognition. Since our launch on February 2, 2002, we have received over 3,000,000 hits from more than 60 countries around the world. The atlas is currently being hosted through the generosity of the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California/Keck School of Medicine
