Contact Lens

Overview 
The rotations through the Contact Lens Service at UPMC Eye Center provide residents with the opportunity to learn by providing care for patients with contact lens needs. Services of the Contact Lens Service include
  • routine refraction and fitting of soft and RGP lenses contact lenses
  • examination and fitting of contact lenses for patients with conditions such as
    • anisometropia
    • keratoconus
    • irregular astigmatism secondary to corneal trauma or infection
  • follow up care for contact lens patients
